Prior to the success of most professional athletes, they played on a college team, but they don’t all complete their degrees. A college degree may seem unnecessary to athletes who make millions of dollars in their careers every year. But what about when their playing career ends? Williams remains a well-decorated tennis player till date. She is the first African American woman to make the first position in the player ranking for tennis Open Era. Williams completed a bachelor’s degree while amid her career. She earned a degree in business administration from Indiana University in 2015.
All the athletes that we mentioned above stand as great examples that other athletes need to emulate. While a college degree may seem unimportant to athletes with careers, it becomes very important as soon as their athletic careers end.
